7th instant respecting the payment of certain chargao

incurred in connexion with the appeal of an ..fghan

epoy, ibrahim, to the Frivy Council against the

sentence of death passed on him by the Suprana Court

of Hongkon; for a murder comilted in China near

Cantor, I am directed by secretary wir ・rey to state

that he is not satisfied that these costs can fairly

be charged on Longkons; funds. The case having arisen

in China, would normally have been tried at ...hanghai

before his Britannic ‘ajesty's Lupreme Court for China;

but the trial was for the sake of convenience trane-

ferred to hongkong, under the provisions of article
